Our story.
Where do we come from & where are we going?
On a cold winter evening , while walking home from the gym and during a short moment of reflection, Team De Warme Kerstmars came up with the idea to organize a walking tour .
That same week they had seen a documentary about Terry Fox , the world famous marathon runner , who ran across Canada despite having only 1 leg to raise money for Cancer Research.
In a moment of inspiration , the idea of 'The Warm Christmas March' quickly emerged.
Inspiratie De Warme Kerstmars
Just 3 weeks later, the first edition of 'De Warme Kerstmars - 101 km 2022' was a fact, born out of passion and determination , but with our own country's inspiration, Marc Herremans, in mind.
In those 3 weeks we: united walkers, inspired local newspapers, filled the airwaves with our story and even made it into the national media . But all these achievements cannot match the feeling that was released when we were able to hand over the check for €2102 to our partners To Walk Again.

In the meantime , De Warme Kerstmars has grown into a well-discussed event with our last edition raising no less than €32,162.40 for charity , and we intend to continue!
Our vision is clear; we want to become the biggest, warmest and most inspiring winter event in the Benelux !
